Book Review: A Book About Histories Most Remarkable Woman

I can't believe I let this book sit on my shelf for so long. I have read a biography about the queen and I feel this novel told me more about her life. This novel brought the queen to life in every dramatic moment of her life, from her childhood as the bastard of a disgraced and dead queen, to her tumultuous, slow rise to third in line of the throne, then heir, then queen, queen in her own right, becoming the most famous queen in England, and history for that matter. The enormous cast of characters reign just as true as the queen they so loved and loyally served, for where is a queen without her court? The man (King Henry) who tried to humiliate her by declaring her a bastard, owes most of his fame to Elizabeth, the daughter who reigned more lengthy and supreme than himself, as the queen rightly hints at the end. Everyone read this book! Its GREAT!!!!!
