Book Reviews of I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell

Book Review: A young Charles Bukowski
Summary: 5 Stars

Stories that grip the reader and leave you a sense of guilty pleasure. Tucker Max is the most engaging writer of our day. Don't let some reviewers convince you that these stories are the embellished drunken ramblings of an over-ripe college boy. The stories are intriguing in the way he recounts events and issues he encounters. But, most of all, they are entertaining and enjoying. Already looking forward to his next book.

Book Review: Just read it
Summary: 5 Stars

Tucker Max's life should be featured on A&E Biography in 10 years and then distributed to schools around the country as required viewing for all males 15 and up.

As for now, Max's adventures should be required reading for any young man looking for a real-life hero to exemplify how true masculinity can prevail in this overly feminized society.

Book Review: Tucker Deletes Reviews
Summary: 1 Stars

I already wrote this, but because I gave it two stars and denounced it as terrible (and many other reviewers have had similar experiences) I believe Tucker is having the negative reviews deleted. I have heard about this before, and no, I cannot be sure, but it is the most logical of conclusions one can come to.

Read the website instead. Tucker makes up stuff because he can't really write and tries to pass it off as autobiographical b/c no one would ever buy this if it was marketed as it should be: fiction. A shallow shell of a human being, Tucker will appeal to 15-23 yr olds with low critical thinking ability. If you like to read books, be sure you will not like this one. If you like watching television more than reading, than I could recommend this to read during the commercials of 'The Real World' (what a funny title that is! Sort of like Tucker's books, funny for the wrong reasons).

Book Review: Hilarious
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have a single funny bone in your body and pass up the opportunity to read these stories, you are simply depriving yourself.

Book Review: Yawn.
Summary: 1 Stars

Been there, done that. If you are between 15 & 21 and have never been laid/drunk/arrested, or are from small town America, you'll probably find this crap amusing. For everyone else, its just a rehash of what anyone who ever went to a college with fraternities experienced at one time or another. Save your pennies, you can read most of these stories for free on his website. FWIW, I completely agree with the other reviewers who pointed out how sad & pathetic it is that a 30 y.o. is still hanging out in frat houses & basically has no life. What a loser.
