Since the first time I heard Lee Ann Womack's song "I Hope You Dance" I wanted this to be the message I gave to my son, daughter and granddaughter. I told my husband and children that I wanted this either sung or read at my funeral for them. Then I found this book. I gave a copy to my daughter for her 23rd birthday and she was both deeply touched and excited that I gave this tribute now. Since there is a place in the front of the book to give a short special message and the bonus of the CD in the back I found this to be a perfect gift not only for my children but also to anyone who needs encouragement. I am now ordering a copy for my son.Book Review: Way too mushy and sentimental

This book contains the lyrics to the song, "I hope you dance", along with some poetry to go along with it and a CD of the song. I thought it was too mushy and sentimential. But since my 11-year-old daughter liked the song, I got her the book for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. I don't think there is a page in this book that cannot be applied to every day life, just as it is. And what's more important...you never get sick of the advice that's in it.
