Book Review: whoooaaa - My head is still spinning!

Dan Simmons.......The name conjurs images of Hyperion, a book that not only changed my perception of "Good" Sci Fi but has converted the most rigid Best Seller buyer and the "Andy McNab" illiterati massive into true converts of the wide-envelope hard space opera-I have friends that had never read a book since "The adventures of Winnie the Pooh and his Friends" who suddenly have become staunch converts after reading the Hyperion Cantos, spouting all sorts of philosophical meanderings on the forward progress of the human race, religion etc.....SO....a supremely hard act to follow and im glad to say Dan, that you really have surpassed yourself, once again. Can this man continue to churn out sci fi of this quality? I sometimes find it hard to believe how good his sci fi is, really people there is no one currently better than him and i would advise anyone to read this book, whether you are a sci fi nut or not.
Peter Hamilton, Greg Bear, Iain Banks etc all of who.....not a patch on this guy!
Superb, astounding, mind expanding, and enlightening a supreme achievement of massive scope. Whens the next installment due? Not soon enough me thinks....
