Book Reviews of Illegal PossessionBook Review: Book could be better Summary: 2 Stars
I was really disappointed by this book. I am a big Kay Hooper fan and have read all of the Bishop-Special Crimes Unit Novels. I could not relate to the characters and I didn't find the storyline believeable at all. I feel that the story is incomplete...maybe I was just missing the adventure that this book could have been. I will keep reading Kay Hooper novels but I hope future books are better than this.
Book Review: If you like Harlequin Novels, this is a book for you Summary: 2 Stars
Wow, I was very disappointed in this book. It had the formula for a romance novel down to a tee: 36 year old, wealthy, tall, dark, confirmed field-player meets younger, beautiful, smart, wealthy, red-headed siren who has a perfect body, erratic moods, and of COURSE, is a virgin and they fall in love & are engaged within a week. What drivel. I have heard Kay Hooper is a great author, so I will probably try another book of hers. I felt cheated to learn it was a romance novel disguised as something else. That's not the author's fault though, whoever marketed is responsible for that deception. The book had potential if Ms Hooper would have developed the cat burglar story line.
Book Review: Illegal publication - it should be against the law to reprint something this bad Summary: 1 Stars
I am a fan of Kay Hooper's recent work, and a few of her older efforts. I recognize that this was one of her earlier works, but it is so dated and weak on top of that that it should have stayed in the past. Don't waste your time!
Book Review: Not her Best Summary: 1 Stars
Very disappointed. This should probably be a Harlequin or Intimate Moments book. I had a great deal of trouble getting through this book. I have read all the Bishop/Haven novels plus any other Hooper novels that I could find. They were so much better than this one.
Looking forward to the next in the "Blood" series.
Book Review: Not quite as expected Summary: 3 Stars
What I thought was going to be another suspense novel, simular to 2 prvious books I've read by Kay Hooper (Once a Thief and Always a Thief), it turned out to be a romance novel, albeit, it did have a few twist and turns, but nothing to compare with the previous two.
