Book Review: Im not scared by Niccolo Ammaniti
Summary: 5 Stars
From the moment I read the first chapter I was hooked. The book is about a young nine year old boy called Michele Amitrano who lives in a small deserted town. One day when out with friends Michele is dared into visiting a run down old house.Once in the house he discovers something that will change his life forever. A dead body.
I could not put this book down. It captured my imagination and lead me on a breathless journey. It was touching and terrifiying at the same time. Niccolo`s use of short sentences made the correct impact for this, at times, fast paced book.
Niccolos portrayal of a child growing up is spot on.When I finished reading this book not only did I feel like I had been alongside Michele for his journey but I found the ending impossible to get out of my head.
I would recommend this book to anyone, espiecally fans of the film Stand by me.
Niccolo Ammaniti is definately one to watch.
