Book Reviews of I'm with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie

Book Review: This dish I definitely enjoyed!
Summary: 5 Stars

I usually don't care for tabloid dish on others but this book was so enchanting she doesn't really have a bad word to say about her rockers that she followed as a groupie. She kind of sounded like "Penny Lane" in the movie "Almost Famous". She was a comfortable groupie that all the bands liked having around and she spoke about them with nothing but love. I liked that part of it. Most of them ridicule their lifestyle and dish the bad dirt. Even though she didn't slash their reputations, it is a page turning read that you won't be able to put down. Her second book was a bore though, get this one instead, I highly recommend it to all of you kids and baby boomers that want the behind the scenes blow by blow of 60's and 70's rock stars and concerts and bedroom dish galore with drug and alcohol chasers to boot.

Book Review: teenie bopper
Summary: 1 Stars

i was origionally turned on to this book after hearing about it on VH1. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed upon reading it. She just sounds like an annoying "boy crazy" teen. I somewhat expected that, and it would have been managable if there was any substance or real "juice" to the anecdotes.

Book Review: I'm a Pamela groupie
Summary: 4 Stars

Wow! Rock and roll stories are my favorite guilty pleasure! Pamela just took me on the paperback ride of my life with this book.

The best part about the book is Pamela's attitude toward life, herself, and other people. She managed to remain both positive and realistic throughout her crazy years in LA, and this is the attitude that makes the book so addicting. You don't feel like you have to question her credibility.

The journal entries make the book more interesting, and I love how the book begins with her innocent high school love of the Beatles, a band crush that any girl can relate to.

Book Review: Confessions of a Groupie
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very fun and inspirational work! I enjoyed it thorougly and I feel anyone who is into music or the Hollywood dream would enjoy it as well...

Book Review: Very good read
Summary: 3 Stars

I enjoyed this book a lot. It is really nice to read about the 60's- a time before I was even born!
I love the photo on the cover too- very 60's as well.
Pamela seems to have lived a life some only dream of.
All in all, this is a good book to have in your collection of bios if that is what floats your boat.
