Book Reviews of In Her Shoes : A NovelBook Review: in her shoes Summary: 4 StarsThe book IN HER SHOES, by Jennifer Weiner, is a very good book. It's about two sisters who dont know how alike they really are. They think that the only thing they have in common is the same childhood and their shoe size(love for shoes). There is Rose who is a thirty year old attorney and is very blah and boring- and who is a bit on the bigger side. Then there is Maggie who is twenty-eight and very beautiful and skinny who dreams of being famous. At first they dont really get along because they're total opposites and Maggie does'nt treat her sister with too much respect at times and hurts her sister's feelings after she let her come and stay at her place with her, but then they end up having more in common than they ever would have thought.
I gave this novel 4 stars because it was a really good book about two sisters coming closer together-written very well but it was a bit too long and i tend to get off track when a book is long, even when it's really good. i recommend this book to anyone who loves to read and who enjoy fiction books that seem as though they're real.it's a funny, enjoyable, and great book to read and now it's also a movie. so i recommend to read the book first and then the movie, thats what i did and it was fun to see it after what you imagined it to be while reading it.
Book Review: Loved it, and the movie!!!! Summary: 5 StarsJennifer is an amazing writer. This book was not only well written, it was also heartwarming, touching, and sad. This book is a book that every mother should read before passing it on to their daughters. The movie is also very good except it leaves out some very important parts like the part when Maggie goes to Princeton. I recommend reading before watching In Her Shoes. This book is a perfect mothers day present for your mother, grandmother, and daughter. Thanks for reading my review. Also, don't forget to check out Jennifer's website and also her other books!!!!!!!!!!!
Book Review: A Great Read Summary: 4 StarsDespite the "chick lit" label, I think that Jennifer Weiner is an excellent author, not to be disregarded as pure fluff. All of her books that I have read have been page turners with great, character-driven plots, and "In Her Shoes" is no exception. The characters are often humorous, even extreme, but always believable. The sisters, Rose and Maggie, are completely different people, but both likeable. Even if you find yourself more like one sister than the other, you will sympathize with both of them and all their struggles.
Book Review: Worthy Summary: 4 StarsI loved this book. It was an easy read but fun. Worth the time to read it if you are just looking for relaxation and some laughs.
Book Review: JUST LIKE THE MOVIE! Summary: 3 StarsJust in case you didn't figure this out (like I didn't until I started reading it) this book is just like the movie with Cameron Diaz. Oh well - the movie is cute. Hate that I wasted a few dollars on this!
