This is a much better book than Good in Bed. Not only was the writing terrific, but the story and people were so real that I felt I knew them. The author paints a vivid picture of a pretty disfunctional family and has characters change in realistic ways. It sounds trite, but it made me laugh and made me cry.Book Review: Excellent Reading

Jennifer Weiner is a very skilled author. Her writings touch the reader on a very personal level. The tales of Rose, Maggie and Ella are woven together with a master's touch.I highly recommend Jennifer Weiner's novel "Good in Bed" in addition to "In Her Shoes".

Scary that the first review listed on this page is so negative! Don't be scared off, this is a wonderful book. Its light, cheery, entertaining. Don't expect the deepest of the deep, but certainly the characters are well developed, story is excellent. The only reason I reserve 1 star is that maggie's character changed to fast - I felt the last 1/3 rd of the book was too rushed. Would've liked to seen maggie's progression in a bit more detail. Would've also like to had more pages in the 3rd half about ella. enough negativity , read the book!Book Review: Fabulous Storyteller!!

I read Good In Bed and loved it. I read In Her Shoes expecting the same type of storytelling...and there it was. Weiner does a great job of keeping the reader interested. I loved the story and I can't wait for another book from Weiner! I will definitely recommend these 2 books to all of my friends!Book Review: Fantastic!

I read Jennifer Weiner's second book In Her Shoes before I read her first book Good In Bed. As soon as I read In Her Shoes, I was hooked. I found the dynamics of this sister relationship intriguing. I continued to find myself reading "just one page more" because I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to the moving coming out.
