Book Review: Amazing Summary: 3 Stars
This was one of the books selected from my book club. The first 100 pages were a struggle for me to keep reading, just didn't hold my interest. Then after about 150 I was hooked! For us in America, just getting past all of the names! She warns you in the beginning that names are important to her. Once I realized I would not need all of the names and started just listening to the story it was an amazing story. I must confess I was among those who are clueless! Be sure to watch the video on U-tube, and the interviews with her. She is a truly amazing lady!
Book Review: Amazing story! Summary: 5 Stars
This is an amazing story told in a compelling, interesting voice. I highly recommend it!
Book Review: Amazing woman/Amazing story Summary: 5 Stars
Ayaan Hirsi Ali's story is the most amazing saga of her life as a woman in Somalia -- meaning her life was worthless except as a housework slave and baby hatcher -- to her life now in a prestigeous think-tank in America. Her story is poignant, heart-wreching, uplifting, sad, and noble. We should all be a brave as this amazing woman.
Book Review: Amazing, brilliant, inspiring Summary: 5 Stars
This is easily one of the greatest books I have ever read. Hirsi's personal story is incredible and awe-inspiring. The book is not only provocative and at times painful, but it is extremely insightful and compelling. Hirsi is a true hero, a beacon of light. This book is a gift to humanity.
