Book Review: A Little Too Crude

While I agree with some of the basic ideas of the book, such as the illusory nature of this life, the Matrix that our conciousness is confined in, health issues, and the U.S. government sponsored 9/11 attack, I found it very difficult to ingore the vulgar language that the author uses throughout the book. And, it didn't help that he included in his book, on page 166, a photograph of himself in the nude - a full frontal pose. The crude language and photo made it hard to take him seriously. The inclusion of the photo can best be explained by his definition of "Infinite Love" as described in the last chapter: self-love, spontaniety, and empathy. Thus, the book portrays the author as being a self-centered person who's goal in life is to expose the Illuminati and the Matrix by flinging diatribes and expletives at them.
The author's resource material appears to be completely one-sided. He has almost nothing good to say about organized religion, and claims that Jesus never existed. While I am inclined to admit that all organized religion is based upon nothing more than human traditions, it still remains a historical fact that a preacher named Jesus lived in the first century. This is confirmed by secular and Jewish history, not just Christian history.
Finally, David Icke claims that we have no need to follow rules and laws, to be burdened with responsibilities, or even to be burdened with the process of thinking and making choices. Here is a quote from page 191:
"If you thought 'stop thinking' was wierd enough, get this. To truly connect in the awareness with the One, we need to stop making choices, stop trying to change anything and have no sense of purpose."
