Book Reviews of InkspellBook Review: A magical work of fiction, better then the first Summary: 5 Stars
When I finished Inkheart I thought it as an outstanding work of fiction. However it didn't have the little pizaz that rates an all-time favorite. Still it was a fantastic book and I eagerly anticipated Inkspell.
5 words. This Blew My Mind Away. Meggie and Farid, I won't say how or why, are in Inkworld. Mortola's on the rampage, and it's just a whirlwind of excitement, drama, and a little romance. The character's, Dustfinger in praticular, have so much deph. I refuse to spoil anything, so I'll make it simple, READ THIS! you won't regret it.
Book Review: A more-than-worthy followup to a classic Summary: 4 Stars
I'll admit to being skeptical about this book, given that the first was so great. My feeling was that it could only go downhill, and that it would tarnish my memories of Meggie, Dustfinger, and the rest of the group.
Funke has proven my worries unfounded with Inkspell, a book that starts off somewhat slowly but picks up its momentum greatly in the second half. While there are still some unanswered questions, and some points of logic that don't seem to add up, this is a book that should entertain all those who loved the first.
While I don't put this on the level of Inkheart, it's nonetheless an outstanding piece of fiction.
Book Review: A must read Summary: 5 Stars
Cornelia Funke does it again! this sequel of inkheart is 10 times better than the first..read it if you're in for adventure!! i recommend this to those who love fantasy novels and enjoy adventurous sequences..TWO THUMBS UP!!
Book Review: A slow read... Summary: 3 Stars
This was an interesting and original story, however reading it took a long time. It just didn't quite grab me.
Book Review: A spell comes from the heart Summary: 5 Stars
A "must read" sequel to InkHeart. Where Meggie gets wisked away to the InkWorld. The romance, action, magic, and a little troble making make this book a must read. Though for the very sad ending...but I wouldn't want to give it away. These two books are so well written it's no surprise of Inkheart becoming a movie. If you loved InkHeart there is no dought you'll love it's captivating sequel, InkSpell.
