Book Reviews of Inkspell

Book Review: Awesome!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read Inkheart and really enjoyed it. Then I found Inkspell and got excited and read it and it was Awesome! It has to be one of my favorite books of all time. The characters are really well developed in this book even more than in the first. This is a book on the must read list for anyone who wants an extraordinary read!

Book Review: BEST BOOK EVER
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a really great book. It was fun, entertaining and its long so it dosen't end quickly. Highly recommended but to read this book and understand it you would have to read Inkheart.

Book Review: BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Inkspell is defineley the best book i've evr
Cornelia Funke captured my attention by the first page, and i never wanted to stop reading. it is yes a long book, but there is absoulultey no end to suspense! A girl named Meggie who inherists the gift from her father of bieng able to read characters and people out of books by reading out loud. The fellow author of Inkheart, Fenoglio gets sent into the inkworld, and meggie follows after. If you want to read this book then you MUST MUST read Inkheart, or else you will not know ANYTHING!!!!!
everyting i told you is ten pages of the excitment in this story!

Book Review: BORING!!
Summary: 1 Stars

Did not like it at all! It was ok at the beginning but the book spends so much time making a TOTAL description of EVERYTHING!! That you forget what they're even talking about! It's soooooo hard to follow! I didn't even bother to finish reading it, I was over halfway done thinking it would get better and trust me it DIDN'T! So I gave up on it and read a better book! Inkheart was awsome so I thought this book would be too, but if you're reading or have read Inkheart, don't even bother with this book, it will just confuse you! Don't waste your time!

Book Review: Beautiful, heartwrenching, and painfully true...
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is as close to perfect as anything that I've ever read. If Inkheart deserved ten stars, this deserves a thousand.
The characters that were so carefully carved out in the first book are here too, just as real, just as human as they were before. Inkspell is beautifully written, the style simple yet profound, the plot captivating.
The idea from Inkheart that people can be read out of books is taken a step further in the sequel. Suppose that you could be read INTO a book? Would it be possible? Well Meggie certainly thinks so. Along with Farid, she escapes her world to follow Dustfinger into Inkworld, his home.
If you have ever loved a book, have ever felt one touch you in the very core of your being, you will understand what it is like to wish it were real. And to have the possibility to escape into such a book...is it any wonder Meggie is tempted?
But Inkworld is somehow more and yet less than Meggie expected. It is unparalleled in its beauty and wonder, and yet there is a dark side. Meggie is now threatened by vilians who make Capricorn look almost cuddly. People die, and Fenoglio plays with death in a way that is certain to end in catastrophy.
And Dustfinger discovers his fatal weakness a second and an eternity after Basta does.
This book is darker by far than Inkheart. It touches the very heart of humanity, in a way that is painful and beautiful at the same time. I don't cry easily, but I was blubbering while I read parts of it.
Cornelia Funke has worked her magic again, in a sequel that is deeper and darker than Inkheart, but still manages to retain the light spirit. This book joins the ranks of the Narnian series for me, a place that I never thought another book could reach.
If you don't read this, or skim through it, you are missing an incredible experience.
Sometimes when you read a book, you take it in to your heart so far that it becomes a part of you. Inkspell was like that for me. While the plot can be lighthearted, it is also serious in a way that is impossible to reproduce. Just read it and you'll see.
