Book Review: well worth waiting for

I have to admit that I didn't actually read the whole book, I only skimmed through to find the Eve/Roarke moments and I haven't been disappointed. Like we all know an old flame of Roarke comes back to his life and causes a rift between them. They were at odds in other books before, but this time its different. They are both hurt at a deeper personal/emotional level and I freely admit that at moments I had put the book down and cry. The interesting thing is that the whole Magdalena ordeal actually caused a moment or two of truce between Eve and Summerset and he even admits that Eve is better for Roarke than Magdalena. Eve and Roarke manage to resolve their differences in a great reconsiliation scene at about two thirds of the book and work together to find the murderer. And the scene where Eve deals with Magdalena is well worth reading too.
I won't comment much on the crime aspect because, I really didn't go into it. But the fact that at the end when I found out who the murderer is, I thought "I would have never thought of this person" makes me think that the crime plot must be a satisfying one as well.
