Book Review: 5 stars to Eric Haney
Summary: 5 Stars
First let me say that I salute you CSM Haney-the book is an excellent expose-and for the people that have critized you(to hell with them)they are just hating because you beat them to the punch.
I read the articles that other former delta operators wrote about you-and it was shocking that men of that caliber would drop to that low level. First the former unit operators that critized were SFC's just like Eric Haney when they started out in 1st SFOD-D--second the missions of the unit are sensitive compartmented and only the unit commander-unit command sergeant major-squadron commander-squadron sergeant major know at any given time what their operators under their command are doing-during the time that CSM Eric Haney spent with the unit-none of the former operators who critized haney were neither the Squadron sergeant major or the CSM of the unit-they did not become CSM's of the unit until after haney left the outfit so how would he know what eric haney did or did not do-yes they were in the same squadron but they were not in the same team.
Regardless of wether Eric Haney participated or did not take part in some of the missions he wrote about in the book-we have to thank him for his service and for being the technical advisor of the tv show the unit-at least the public has some knowledge of these american combat heroes.
