Book Review: A Wonderfully Written History of the Early Days of the Space Race!
Summary: 5 Stars
I must agree with many others that this is a very well written account about the early days of the space race! The book covers a lot of information, but does something that many other books do not do: it takes into account the human element of spaceflight. Each of the astronauts and cosmonauts profiled has their biography included into the book, and it gives the science of spaceflight a human touch. I especially enjoyed the sections about Dee O'Hara and Wally Funk, which are often time omitted from most space history books. The facts presented in the book have been well researched and give a new light to some of the events that have been covered by so many books. The new light that is given, however, makes the book even better and allows for people to see how things really happened during that time.
For any person who wants to know what the early space race was like, read this book.
