Book Reviews of Jane Eyre (Signet Classics)Book Review: They don't write them like this anymore! Summary: 5 StarsI carried this book around with me after I finished reading it convincing others to read it as well. I wanted everyone I knew to experience the joy I felt while reading this true classic. It is a lush, romantic, facinating mystery that you never want to end! If you say "I read that in high school" I urge you to read it again - this time by choice - and I assure you, you'll be as swept away as I was!
Book Review: Love at first sight? I think not Summary: 5 StarsA touching novel of a poor orphant blossoming into an intelligent governess, falling in love, falling for the wrong reason. Then just when you think it would never happen, Jane Eyre finds true love.
Book Review: a beautiful, heart-warming, heroic story for ages to come Summary: 5 StarsI just finished reading "Jane Eyre" for my grade twelve English class. I borrowed the book from my school library. About four chapters into the book, I returned the novel to the library, and went out that night to get my own copy. I cannot express in words how this novel has touched my heart. The musical nor the movie will never ever return the stirring of emotion that I felt for Jane's character while reading it from the creative and romantic mind of Charlotte Bront?. I did cry when Jane witnessed the death of her very best friend, Helen Burns, in Lowood School. I felt bitter and angry when Mr. Rochester did not tell Jane about his first wife, but I also felt relieved when Jane and Mr. Rochester rekindled their love to face a new life together. If there is one novel that will ever touch my heart, look at my life as a woman, and respect the heroics that women of past ages have undergone, this is the novel. Jane Eyre: this will be a novel respected for ages to come.
Book Review: A GREAT TOUCHING BOOK FULL WITH HUMAN EMOTIONS Summary: 5 StarsI think that this is a great book. It teaches us about human feelings and makes us realise hwo strong true love can be.
Book Review: A modern classic! Summary: 5 StarsBefore reading this book the fact it was an old classic, made me feel slightly intimidated. Though through reading it, those feelings were pushed further from my mind. To me this book, however old, provided an insight into the morals held by Victorian society. It still applies to some extent today, as the emotions felt by Jane Eyre are so real that one can relate to them to some extent. This is even more believeable because Jane is not the typical, 'perfect' beautiful, rich heroine as in most books at that time. If the idea of reading a classic doesn't appeal to you, then reading Jane Eyre may change your mind, because Charlotte Bronte's modern views are portrayed quite strongly in the book. It has all the ingredients of an exquisite book: drama, emotion, thrill, romance and intrigue. This book can only truly be enjoyed to its full capacity when read at least twice. Jane Eyre is a guarranteed great read that everyone should read in their lifetime.
