Book Review: Beautifully illustrated easy to read book

I bought this book, as both my son and I love watching the "Jane and the Dragon" TV series.The books are what the TV series was based on, although not quite the same.
This book tells the story of the fact the Prince has a cold so the King wants to have a party, except he sacked the magician, and you can't have a party without a magician. So Jane and Dragon go off to find the magician, but instead they find a "wet and watery problem".
As with the TV series Jane sets a good role model for young girls of being brave and honourable and my son loves it. He has never said "but girls can't be knights" and I hope he never will!
The illustrations are very colourful and creative with lots of things to point out and explore while you read the story. There are not too many words on each page, but enough to make me suggest this is probably better for age 3+, depending on your child's attention span.
I am hoping Santa might bring us another one in the series this year.
