Book Reviews of JellyfistBook Review: Hilarious Summary: 5 StarsI can't believe I only paid ?4 for this.
If you're a fan of JV you won't be dissapointed.
The art is good, similar but not the same.
The storys are great. There's actually quite alot of comics in this, great value. And the running commentary makes it last twice as long, and gives you a few laughs and an insight into what they were thinking aswell. Also JV's rambling is entertaining enough, I think the book would miss it if it wasn't included.
Worth buying, unless you have a poor sense of humour.
Book Review: Very disapointing Summary: 1 StarsBought on the strenght of Mr Vasquez's pervious works, such as the very funny 'Everything can be beaten' and 'Johnny the homocidal maniac', I found this book to be disapointing in comparsion. The humour is infantile, resorting to characters drawn like penises and dribbling preverts. The intelligent edge is missing, the naration poor and the concept, though intreging (Johen writes a script, Jennifer interperates it and draws, and the two then comment on the finished work), is a terrible failure. That is, i found it a failure.
Looking at the above titles of comics by johen vasquez which i have enjoyed, you might think i would expect something beyond the realm of political correctness, but this wasn't even funny, just a mash of disgusting sexual scenes and mindless bantering of the colaborators.
Avoid. Please.....
