Book Reviews of Jesus of NazarethBook Review: Benedict's Jesus of Nazareth Summary: 5 Stars
The best Jesus book available since that by Günther Bornkamm. Written by an outstanding theologian and Christian thinker with deep insight into the mystery of Jesus of Nazareth.
Book Review: Beutiful reflections Summary: 5 Stars
A book about Jesus Christ from a high-level Biblical scholar is a wonderful thing. Add to that the penetration into the mysteries by a life lived in Faith and the daily pastoral reflections made on the person of Christ, and you have something spectacular.
This book is study, it is reflection, and it leads one to his knees both to seek the face of the Lord in prayer as well as extend gratitude for the treasure of providence in the person and work of Pope Benedict.
This is not only Pope Benedicts "personal search for the face of the Lord", it can also be ours, and I for one have enjoyed the search very much!
Book Review: Brilliant and Faithful Summary: 5 Stars
Ratzinger has written a lucid, compelling book that will soon become a classic. As a Protestant I am thrilled with his presentation of "Jesus of Nazareth".
Book Review: Brought me back to the narrow path Summary: 5 Stars
Ever get the feeling that the authorship of the pope's books should include "and God"? You will when you read this book. "Jesus of Nazareth" by Pope Benedict XVI and God. That would be more appropriate. The Pope is such a refined tool for God's art that you can see his fingerprints in all the Pope does. What could be a better incentive for people to try to become the best they can be? He is both an intellectual as well as a living role model and we are all blessed with his leadership.
