Book Review: A Journey Indeed
Summary: 4 Stars
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was well balanced with a mixture of comedy, sadness, joy and anger. I think that you should be proud of yourself. The characters were full of life and very real. In fact, some of the anger Mamma felt towards Daddy after the divorce, I sometimes feel especially when struggling to provide for my children. It may be temporary but the book captures the true feelings of a Mother whose only focus is ensuring that she adequately provides for her children.
Your main character Catherine has a determination to succeed that is amazing. That is a characteristic that we can all adopt in pursuit of our dreams. A sort of unshakable belief is oneself.
Thanks for not writing your book in dialect because that is sometimes so difficult to read. Too much time is spent trying to pronounce the words in dialect rather than assimilating the message. That can be very distracting.
