Book Reviews of Jurassic ParkBook Review: A thriller and a credit to science fiction Summary: 5 Stars
Michael Crichton does what so few science fiction authors have done in this day and age. By taking an age old scientific fact such as cloning, and combining it with a not too far off concept, then backing it up with plausible research, believable characters and a riveting plot, Michael Chrichton has created a masterpiece truly worthy of its genre.
Book Review: A thrilling read! Summary: 5 Stars
Imaginative, thrilling, and suspenseful, this book is one of my all time favorites. Gripping moments like Dennis Nedry's encounter with a dilophosaur are excellent. Better than the movie, although Steven Speilbergs film was a worthy interpitation of the book. There are differences between the two, as in the book Alan Grant likes kids, whereas in the movie, he dosen't like them, until of course, later on. Plus Lex is younger than Tim. I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that there is another difference. In the book, a few people who die in the movie survive, and a few who lived in the movie die in the book. All in all, I'd say this book is a must-read. Much better than the sequel, "The Lost World". If you haven't read this book, and you like similar-themed stories, than I strongly suggest this one.
Book Review: A thrilling story that makes the movie look boring Summary: 5 Stars
This book was written wonderfully. Michael Crichton has an imagination matched by very few. From the description of the dinosaurs to the description on the island, Crichton brings alive these magnificant creatures of the past.
Book Review: A true classic Summary: 5 Stars
Ok so finally aftering seeing the movies so many times, I finally found a copy of the book in the one of the bedrooms upstairs.
I have to say, the beginning of this book is very drab,
Yadda yadda yadda, let me see some blood.
and after the fun started I couldnt put the book down.
But let me tell you for any of the young readers out there.
It is a goery book.
There is blood on almost every page once they get to Isle Nubar.
But overall it is a great book and I highly recommend it for anyone who has an intrest in sci-fi, paleontology < think that is wrong, or the movies.
Have to admit though... The first movie does in fact differ from the novel so don't expect it to be verbadum. but really what book made movie is?
Book Review: A tyrannosauras review Summary: 5 Stars
Michael Crichton creates a horrifying master piece called Jurassic Park. A supernatural science thriller that sends chills down the spines of everyone that reads the book. It is a book everyone should read. Jurassic Park is a book about an amusement park, though this amusement park is much different from any other amusement park. It is a Jurassic Park. A park full of cloned dinosaurs. The man who organized the parks construction was named John Hammond. Before the park was opened to the public John Hammond invited guests he selected to tour the park. All the characters John invited were very intelligent in different ways. Dr. Allen Grant was a well respected paleontologist and his student Ellie Sattler was on her way to becoming a paleontologist. Ian Malcolm was a mathmaiton that specialized in the chaos theory. The last guest invited was an investor from Ingen. These were not the only characters in the book Jurassic Park, though they were key characters in the book. John Hammond thought he had all the dinosaurs under control until something went very wrong. The parks pone lines and power went out. All the dinosaurs were free to brake through the electrical fences. The worst part was that know one knew how to get the power back on. Now they are being hunted why they are desperately calling for help. The fast action sequences will leave a person wanting more. If a person read this book they would half to read the sequel. Michael Crichton ends Jurassic Park with an excellent twist. People that don't like Michael Crichton should change there mind.A Review by Aaron
