Book Reviews of Katie: The Real StoryBook Review: Only 3 reviews?-Yes people it proves this book is not worth the time Summary: 1 Stars
How a man could write such a piece of junk and call himself an author is beyond me.
Book Review: Poorly Written, Unethical, Shallow Tell-All that Tells Nothing Worthy Summary: 1 Stars
In this sordid, mean spirited, vengeful, angry and poorly written excuse for a bio, the contents bare the attempt of a writer who stoops to an all time low just to cash in on nothing but literary bullying.
Poorly written with surreptitious rumblings about Katie's former marriage and love life, the book tries to portray her as "too ambitious" "sleeping with men" and reduces the reader to a gossip laden chronicle that is an insult to an intelligent reader.
This book will soon be forgotten because it truly shares nothing of benefit, doesn't make a wit of a difference, and certainly does no justice to the author.
The author has turned journalism and mass communication into sleazeism and mass manipulation. The contents are nothing more than a poorly cast newsopera in print.
Don't waste your time on this one.
If you're interested in the field of broadcast journalism, a suggested alternative read to give you fair and balanced info that also discusses KATIE COURIC is Broadcasting Realities: Real-Life Issues and Insights for Broadcast Journalists, Aspiring Journalists and Broadcasters
Unfortunately, all this book does is resort to a below-the-belt smear gossip campaign - and a poorly written one at that.
[Consider This]
1. Did Katie commit a heinous crime?
No.
2. Did she do anything to intentionally hurt people?
No.
3. Is it that some people just don't like "perfect, perky, cutsey Katie"?
Yes.
4. Does the author share fair, ethical, objective and newsworthy info?
No.
5. Does the book make a positive difference to truly help people?
No.
6. Is the motive for this book to make money by slandering a high profile person?
Definitely.
7. Is that highly ethical?
Definitely Not.
Sad waste of trees and time.
Sad decline in ethics.
An alternate suggested read that actually makes a positive difference is Power to the People by Laura Ingraham.
Book Review: Sexist Hatchet Job By a Bitter Conservative Summary: 1 Stars
Once again, if you're a strong and successful woman, Edward Klein doesn't have anything nice to say about you. It's also too bad for Katie that she happens to be Progressive in many of her views. If a man were in this woman's shoes, Klein and his conservative twit friends might be describing her as ambitious (in the good, mountain conquering way), talented and a great networker. Klein twists every life situation this woman experienced into something negative, awful and cynical. Hm. Maybe he's just bitter that she is a greater journalistic success than he is - and a whole lot less biased.
Book Review: Shows us the REAL Couric Summary: 5 Stars
Thanks to Mr. Klein, we get to see the real woman behind the "cutsey" facade.
Book Review: Thank You Summary: 5 Stars
Finally, someone has written the definitive book about Couric that tells everyone what some have known for quite a while. Klein hits the mark dead-on. Thank you Mr. Klein!
