Book Review: A DM back from the 80s
Summary: 4 Stars
I am a D&D player from the early 80s that just started up playing again with my family. My son got the 'red box' for Christmas, and enjoyed it enough to warrant getting some of the rule books and this adventure. Everyone is enjoying the game. It's a little pricier than modules used to be, but the premise is great, and I was able to weave the adventure in the red box into this one. The quality of the paper seems fine, and it's in color! (grin - 80s modules were only B&W). I wish they had included tokens for the monsters in the adventure. It seems like D&D 4e does a little more grid battle than I was used to. I think it helps with visualization for my young-ish sons, tho, so no complaints. We're going to need some dungeon tiles and minis. WotC really know how to cash in.
