Book Review: Must Read Trilogy
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a MUST read trilogy for any Nora Roberts fan. I had a hard time putting each of the 3 books down. I had to really work at pacing myself while reading the stories.

Each book is about 3 women who've been chosen years ago to find 3 keys to unlock a box of souls & set free the Daughters of Glass. Mallory, Dana & Zoe also have to work with Flynn, Jordan & Bradley to help find their key. Rowena & Pitte will help them, to an extent. Then you have Kane, the angry god who will stop at nothing to keep the women from finding their keys. Even going so far as to trap each woman in her fantasy world.

As with other books of Nora's, you'll be glued to each page, not wanting to put down the book until you've read the whole story.

Book Review: Nice, but far from exciting - Key of Knowledge was the strongest in the bunch
Summary: 3 Stars

Plot Summary: A seemingly innocent dinner invitation summons three different women to Warrior's Peak, a castle-like estate near Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania. Our triumvirate includes Mallory, an art gallery manager, Dana, a librarian, and Zoe, a hair-stylist. Their hosts tell them a legend of three sisters, demigoddesses, whose souls are trapped by an immortal sorcerer, and they offer Mallory, Dana, and Zoe an eye-popping cash prize to search out the keys that will unlock the sisters' prison. Before swallowing this outlandish tale hook, line, and sinker, all three women had conveniently fallen on hard times career-wise, and were desperate for a change. Each book follows the quest of one woman in her quest for a magical key.

I had to make a conscious decision to accept this plot, which felt contrived as all get out, but once I let go it was a nice ride. In each book, the heroine in question gets a new job, a new man, and a new house, all while looking for this mystical key and fending off a pissed-off sorcerer. It's exhausting watching someone go through so many life changes, and then to watch it happen three successive times, all I can say is, whew!

The first book, Key of Light, was the weakest of the bunch, romance wise. Mallory is an uptight, neat-freak paired with Flynn, a boy trapped in a man's body. With Nora Robert's trilogies, I've come to expect that she likes to start slow, and build up to her best romance, so I was patient.

The second book, Key of Knowledge, featured a much hotter pairing in librarian Dana, and famous fiction writer Jordan. Their past relationship, in which Jordan stomped on Dana's heart and blew town to find fame and fortune, adds a lot of pent up steam to their current situation. I liked Dana's character the most within this trilogy, and maybe it's because I have a soft spot for anyone who lives to read, and isn't ashamed to be a tad nerdy. Compared to man-boy Flynn in book one, Jordan is all man, with a keen mind that revved my imagination.

The third book, Key of Valor, was supposed to bring this baby home, and tie up all the loose ends. Unfortunately, the romance between stylist Zoe and filthy-rich, big box store baron Bradley was just ho-hum. The evil sorcerer comes into play, and starts to fight dirty, so that livens things up. Zoe herself is highly admirable as a plucky single mother, and it's impossible not to like her. I just wish the heat hadn't fizzled out in the home stretch.

I recommend The Circle Trilogy if you're a Robert's fan and looking to read a series that builds up beautifully from book to book, while packing a serious paranormal punch.

Book Review: Nora Roberts - Key Trilogy
Summary: 5 Stars

Very captivating reading!! I read the Key Triology and was literally hooked. It was after that I purchased the Three Sisters Triology and am currently reading The Circle Trilogy. Enjoyable is all I can say. Not your everyday romance. Written as only Nora Roberts can do.
