Book Reviews of Killing Club, TheBook Review: stick to what you do best Summary: 2 StarsI was a fan of OLTL years ago but haven't been able to watch for a few years. I must say that sometimes it's better when people stick to what they do best! This book met my expectations as it was not very good. I felt the writing was juvenile and a bit far-fetched to be believable. I did read the whole book which I guess says something. I wouldn't recommend it but I did get through the whole thing.
Book Review: Okay but could've been better Summary: 3 StarsThe book was okay but I think that Jamie was quick in putting judgement on Barclay. She instantly thought he could've been guilty from the first accident when she should've also questioned the other members of the club. That is why I give it 3 stars. A real detective would've also questioned the other members.
Book Review: Boring Plot & Middle School Dialogue Summary: 1 StarsI have been a fan of One Life to Live since childhood . I wanted to read this book to familiarize myself with the book so that I could see how the "killings" on the soap were like that of the book . I must say that I found this book very boring and it didn't hold my interest as much as the the soap storyline itself .
The writing and grammar of this book were beyond terrible. I felt like I was reading a short story from a 7th grade English student. The dialogue was the ever popular middle school " he said and she said " with a couple "he yelled" thrown in for the effect. I really was waiting for the characters to say "then he goes, oh my gosh , no, he didn't .."
I must admit, plot did sometimes entertain, yet the ending was very predictable once a few of the characters were killed off. I found the reason why the killer killed these characters was VERY lame. I don't want to give the ending away but, please, is that a reason to kill so many people?????!!!! Anakin Skywalker's reason for becoming a Sith (which was one of the most absurd) was more plausible that this reason !!
Why not have the main character be the killer, her personality split after she witnessed Mrs.Peacock kill Mr.Body in the kitchen with the candlestick . Or it could have been an evil twin that they all thought was "killed" in that horrific shark accident during Spring Break and only her ring turned up on the beach 10 years ago. See the possiblities are endless ! The author was the Head Writer for OLTL -- did he run out of ideas???!??!??!??! Anyone could have come up with a better ending -- even a 6th grader.
Please, save your money ... you can make up a better ending and take yourself to dinner .
Book Review: good, great, not bad.... Summary: 4 StarsIt was very detailed and let us know every aspect of every person in the story. It described everything and then the part we were all waiting for came right at the end. It was a good book, not my favorite, but definently something I would tell people about.
Book Review: BORING! Summary: 2 StarsI watch "One Life To Live" each day and bought this book just like any fan of the show. What a waste of time and money I spent on this. Where was the action? Where was the suspense? I thought there were too many characters to keep up with, and the ones they had did not interest me in the slightest. A few mysteries were solved, including discovering who the actual villain was. But, it's not worth wasting your time and money over. If you've watched OLTL and have seen how people in the Love Center group have been killed, or have seen how someone attempted to kill others, then you know the entire book. Don't bother.
