Book Reviews of Korgi, Vol. 1Book Review: Imaginative Summary: 5 Stars
I love corgis and this book is a delight. The artwork is wonderful. Not just for kids.
Book Review: Love these books! Summary: 5 Stars
I picked up the second book in this series because I have a corgi and thought the artwork was adorable! I was surprised to find that these books have more to offer than their cuteness factor. Published by Top Shelf, they're described as "all ages graphic novels" which essentially means that they have no words and the exact story is up to interpretation. A little bit fantasy, a little bit science fiction, the short volume is fraught with adventure, and, of course, adorable depictions of corgis. I thought this was an interesting take on the old Welsh myth that corgis were the companions of fairies.
Book Review: My children love "reading" the story to me. Summary: 5 Stars
The illustrations are beautiful and how can you not love a girl and her dog? My children can't read yet, but they can read the facial expressions and every part of this story just by looking at the pictures. It is good for them to practice this important skill. In this story, Ivy is chased by Monsters, but her dog protects her and she fights back. There is a fun surprise at the end. I recommend this book very highly! It's one of my child's favorites.
Book Review: Very Cute Summary: 4 Stars
I didn't' realize that this was all written like a comic book. My daughter who loves to read was a bit disappointed, however it is drawn so well that each page is almost a work of art. It's really beautifully done.
Book Review: can't wait for the next one... Summary: 5 Stars
