Julie Taymor's diary of TLK: PRoB is fabulous! She explains cleary and effectively the struggle of producing a worldwide favorite on the stage. Not only did her production claim "Best New Musical of 1998" she also has created a sellout show (believe me, I know. My tickets are for July '99...I ordered them in August '98)A book that is a feast for one's eyes, and a wonderful memory for anyone who has seen the show. A must have for any theatre buff or TLK fan!

I've ordered a total of 6 things from amazon.com and I have to say that this is the best of them all. It offers culture, education, freedom, fun, memorabilia and best of all the chance to see the Best Walt Disney Film Ever Made shown in behind the scenes action as it turns into a Broadway Production. My friend introduced me to it, and he will also be auditioning for a part in the London production coming soon he is very talented and this book is made up of the Best of the Best of the very very talented. Buy it I assure that it's a good buy. EmBook Review: it's a great book of the musical!!!!!!!

"The Lion King : Pride Rock on Broadway" was really fun looking at.It had wonderful photos from the show and told how the show came together from conception to production design.It showed you costume designs, the actors in full costume, the sets, how they did the phenominal special effects, and much more!It's cool, and one of my favorite theater books!Book Review: Grrrrrrrrrrrreat! >^..^<

I am a HUGE Lion King fan, and after seeing the musical last November, I knew I had to get tlkob: prob! The book is a valuable keepsake for anyone who wants to see the inspiration behind this fantastic musical and how the performance developed from the film to the stage. The detailed colour renditions and model photos of all the costumes are so inspiring. I am now eagerly awaiting my second visit to the musical in march, so until then, I will have to just re-live the memories through this amazing book!Book Review: UNBELIEVABLE

i read this book (which is by no means small) in the space of about a day. it is FANTASTIC and so inspiring. i really can't describe how good it is!!! buy it and be inspired! for any one who has seen the musical, or is in any way interested in theatre, costume designs, set design, puppetry, technical theatre, performance.....JUST READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
