A father dies and leaves his family in a difficult situation. it is Paris in 1937 and Simone Sauvelle must find a way to provide for her two children: Irene and Dorian.
Fortune smiles on them as she is approached by a mysterious maker of toys, Lazarus Jann, who offers Simone a job at his castle in Normandy: Cravenmoore. She is to become the castle's housekeeper and put order to the mysterious dealings that go on the mansion.
Cravenmoore is a mysterious house inhabited by mechanical toys and past shadows.
An incident--lights that shine around the lighthouse of the town--and a horrible creature that hides in the forest surrounding the castle--bring together Irene and Ismael, a local orphaned fisherman. These and other mysteries will bring them together forever during a magical summer at the house. A mystery that will take the reader through a thrilling adventure in a labyrinth made of lights and shadows.
A great read, highly recommended. I read it in two days
