Book Reviews of Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't

Book Review: Too much space, too little substance
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this book based on all the high reviews.
I wanted to love it.
I couldn't

I finished the book in under fifteen minutes because of all the useless fluff. The writer uses almost every trick in the book to stretch it out: strange type-sets, oversized diagrams with minimal information, random page breaks, noncontributory worksheets, and pages of self-lauditory praises.

This whole book can be summed up in three points:
1. Figure out what you want.
2. Focus on it.
3. Allow it to happen.

I wouldn't be so bitter if there was substance--there wasn't.
Instead, the book prevents dangerous pseudoscience--ideas like "don't figure out things, allow the law of attraction to solve it for you." "Allow your friend to pay your tab so that you can increase in abundance."

No insight. No life-changing anything. Just another excuse to kill trees. Oh, and if you look closely on page 5, he acknowledges that he's ripping off of Jerry and Esther Hicks.

Instead, I'd recommend Dale Carnegie's classic "How to win friends and influence people." It's vastly better in all respects.

You're welcome to disagree with me. However, I recommend that you borrow both this book and Carnegie's from the library before buying. I almost guarantee that you'll keep Carnegie's.

-Matt

ps. I usually keep my books, but I'll be selling this one right away.

Book Review: Great how-to book on living the law of attraction!
Summary: 5 Stars

Many people are familiar with the law of attraction now, thanks to movies like "The Secret" and "What the Bleep." What I like about this little book is that it provides a concise how-to guide for incorporating the law of attraction into your life.

Briefly, the law of attraction is defined by him as "I attract to my life whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, whether positive or negative."

He then explains how we give off positive or negative vibrations, which then attract similar vibrations to us. He notes that we can unintentionally attract things to us we don't want by focusing our thoughts and words on what we don't want, rather than what we do want.

The bulk of the book is his explanation of the 3-step formula for deliberate attraction, which includes:
---Step 1: Identify your desire
---Step 2: Give your desire attention
---Step 3: Allow it

He provides worksheets and multiple tools to help you attract what you want into your life.

This book is easy to read and the 3-step formula is easy to apply. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wishing to attract more of what they want into their life.

Summary: 5 Stars

I found this book an easy read. So inspiring that I'll try recommendations in it.

Book Review: Excellent!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have no affiliation or commercial interest in this book. That being said... BUY IT! Incredible. A very easy and quick read. Not alot of extra words or exhausting paragraphs, but straight to the point ideas and a mapped out plan to implement the teaching. I've read a bunch of other related books that mention the same ideas in different context, but this one sums it up quite nicely, with great examples. Best $$ you'll ever spend to get what you want.
