Book Reviews of Leap DayBook Review: The perfect book. Summary: 5 Stars
I really loved this book. It's not one of the typical teen girl books with the characters all obsessed with guys and friends and popularity (and I'll admit, those books are good, too), but it tells the story of a girl's day in a really interesting way. While Josie (the main character) tells her story, we get a glimpse at the thoughts and future of those she affects during her day. I thought this book was wonderful and included just the right amount of her life and others. Also, the book isn't too eccentric that it becomes weird.
Book Review: This book was just as amazing as a Mango Shaped Space Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book out from the library and when i saw it was by Wendy Mass I wanted to read it even more. I loved her first book A Mango-Shaped Space. This book was just so great I couldn't put it down. I always wanted my birthday to be on leap day and wondered if your life would be different. This book showed me the differences of being born on February 29th than being born on a normal day. This book is definatly one of my favorite books.
Book Review: Wow, this book is awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
I loved Leap Day! I read A Mango Shaped Space a while ago and loved it. Wendy Mass is my favorite author. Her style in this book is really good, and really gives you a deeper insight into the story. This book is very well written and interesting, too. I'd give it a 10 out of 5!-Chelsea, 11, NY
Book Review: leap day!!!!!! Summary: 4 Stars
In the book leap day by Wendy Mass the main character is Josie Taylor. Leap day the title, goes along with the book because Josie is born on leap day, February 29. So it is only her forth birthday when she is actually turning 16 years old. In this book there are many conflicts that arise in this book one of the conflicts is Josie and taking her driver licenses test. Another conflict is she is trying out for the play the role is Juliet and her crush is trying out for the same play. She has three close friends Katy, Zoey, Megan. She thinks that her friend Megan is hiding some big secret from her. Meanwhile all this is happening Josie's friends are planning a sweet sixteen party for her at the lake.
I really enjoyed reading this book! This book is very interesting to read because it gives all the view points on the characters not just Josie's view point. At some parts of the book it is kind of boring but most of the story it pull's you into the story and made you think and read more of it. I recommended the book leap day to everyone I just think it is a fabulous book and everyone should read it!
Book Review: miss o Summary: 3 Stars
Leap Day was a story about Josie Taylor, a 16 yr old celebrating her birthday, well actually she is really only 4 yrs old. She was born on February 29, which only comes around every four yrs. her birthday is a very eventful one. From going on a scavenger hunt to taking her drivers Ed test. The book chapters are split up into two sections. The first is from the point of view of Josie. The second is what really happened. Josie experiences many crazy things on her birthday but nothing will be as shocking as the secret that her best friend will tell her. I recommend this book to anyone who likes an adventure-packed book.
