When I saw how they keep Individual's records, I bought a Two - hole punch to keep all my copies, the copies I sent the Public Defender of the State of Colorado [ I never forgot to include allll the Public Defenders assigned to me...] and the copies I mailed back home in a sealed envelope to Mom, Dad, and Sis, too, in a Letter Sized File Folder. I always kept one on me in my College Book Bag. Just like in a movie...but don't worry too much about Conformed Records - just copy the ones the Clerk of the Court stamps "Recieved By". Buy stock in Kinko's...

If I had not been able to understand this easy -to-read How To Book, I would have had 1) a lot less hasle 2)I would have been back at work as a telemarketer for the rest of my life - BACKGROUND CHECKS 3)The State of Colorado would be better off. Don't forget to research the Internet/ your States' Law Books ( Criminal Practice Sets?) about Unlawfull Arrest, Search & Seazure of your Person and Fruit of a Poison Tree. Try to find out about the "Barker Test", so you can find out how expensive Certified Mailing with Return Reciept Requested can truly be. Good thing we have Unemployment to live "off" of, isn't it?

Say, if your Local Area cannot provide you with these resources, try the Local University or College. If its' Public - get a library card. If it's Private, the Libarary will treat you as a Guest ( thank you, University of Denver Law School...)

Buy this book. Practice defending yourself against "ordinary Crime" like C.R.S. section 18 - 9 -111 BEFORE YOU NEED TO - OR YOUR KIDS.

Don't forget, your Public Defender doesn't have these books - just an abridged version in paperback. You want "The real Thing". Do It Yourself. Get This Book.

P.S. I'm not an attorney and cannot leagally answer questions regarding the law. Neither can the Law Librarian, nor Bailiffs for the Judges. This depends upon WHAT YOU ASK FOR, AND HOW YOU ASK THEM. Should you want to be further amused, try your State University's Defender Program. Schools out in Summer, and the Secretaries you will call won't know a thing either. It's better to have bus fare saved in advance.
