Book Review: A Different Life's Perspective
Summary: 5 Stars
I read business biographies and had past interests in rock climbing so this seemed like a good fit. This is not your normal biography. It is less than half the book and quickly told. Also Yvon seems to be very modest and covers it more from a historical perspective of the sport and later how his small home business making pitons turns into a revolutionary company.
The second part of the book is discussion of his business philosophy. Or better sad, a discussion of how he chooses to allocate his life and run a business that matches that philosophy. Even if you don't agree with running a company not based on maximizing profits it's fascinating to listen to him. For example, there is a quite a discussion on using only organic materials and how these materials can cause more damage to the environment all things considered. It's actually quite fascinating. He will provoke thought and I learned quite a bit.
A different way of looking at the world and business and I strongly recommend this read for a different perspective.
