This book is not a history of the Osmond family or a chronology of the ups and downs of their long career, but a personal testimony of how Merrill Osmond coped through the most difficult periods of his life. Facing illness, financial ruin, professional disappointments, and family traumas, Merrill's lifeline has been his sure faith in God. I found this book touching in its honesty and sincerity. He is a man who is a true servant of God. The title - taken from one the band's biggest hits, "Love Me For A Reason" says it all - for Merrill Osmond the reason for all he does is love. It is a book of sadness, yet also of hope. Well worth a read - and re-read.
