This book will make you laugh. It's appropriate for all, clever, and very funny. There is no vulgarity. Not an easy task with today's humor. I appreciate that very much. To write such whimsical letters, keep them clean, and get a response sure makes for a wonderful read. Thank you, Mr. Nancy. Along time ago, when I was about 13 or so, I wrote a letter to a very well known shampoo company about their product. The letter was on three-ring notebook paper, and I asked with concern if the rumor I was hearing around school, that their product which claimed to seal split ends, actually made one's hair fall out, was true. I was using their product and I was genuinely worried! I got a very nice letter back assuring me the rumor was nonsense, along with a big box of shampoo and other products made by the company. From that moment on, I understood the power of a sincere letter! Well, Ted Nancy takes letter writing to a new and hysterical level. With straight-faced sincerity, he composes the most insane letters to the giants of business. Their responses to his over the top inquiries, comments and statements are fascinating. This book had me splitting sides with laughter, but it also reveals the inner workings of customer service. I can't imagine what these companies and their managers thought when they got one of Ted Nancy's letters...but for the most part, they answered them with diplomacy befitting their corporate station. The juxtaposition of their formality and his insanity is what makes this compilation tick. This is not heavy reading, but if you want a good reason to laugh, read Ted's letters. 'Letters From a Nut' is truly hilarious! From Ted L. Nancy's lost tooth to his lost bag of otter hair, this book is a laugh riot! You must read this book in the order it is written to appreciate it to its fullest potential. The jokes come full circle. This kind of humor wreaks of Jerry Seinfeld. I highly recommend this book!!
