Book Review: A good study bible

I brought this study bible to complement my pocket NIV, and as a new Christian I needed a bible for home study use that had good notes. I am already developing a fondness for the NKJV.One of the great things about this bible is the use of maps, mini maps detailing important areas, e.g. Abram's various journeys, are included in the main body of the bible as well as some larger colour maps at the end. The notes are also very informative; all of them have a 'life application' slant so end with a note on how we should respond to the text. They may be too preachy for a more mature Christian but for me they are working just fine.
I was disappointed that the single column style was used as I find the triple column style with the centre being used for references easier to navigate through.
I would recommend this for anyone who wants a good practical reference bible, especially newer Christians who want to apply the bible in their lives. With its no nonsense practical notes this bible will help.
