I think this is a wonderful study help. The notes and personality profiles are great, as are the time lines and charts. I use it regularly with an ESV ESV, Thinline TruTone Bible (Chestnut Diamond, Red Letter)for more in-depth, "literal" study.
The only regret I have is that I bought the hardcover edition instead of a nicer leather one.

I am new to the New Living Translation and I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to read and understand. It makes reading the bible more meaningful and more enjoyable. I miss the poetry of the older bible versions especially in the book Psalms but God's word seems more alive and more meaningful to me now more than ever.When you think about it, isn't that the whole purpose of bible study?Book Review: Life Application Bible
