Book Reviews of Life Application Study Bible NLT (Bible Nlt)Book Review: Bible review Summary: 5 StarsThis is a wonderful Bible sporting a host of features to include; easy to read style, excellent footnotes, and a lot of maps (in black & white). Great if you are into serious bible study by yourself or for a group. Chapters begin by putting you in the proper persepective in terms of timeline, who wrote the book, who the book/letter addresses, etc. Really makes the learning process much more enriching. I own three study bibles and this is the best one yet!
Book Review: Great Study Resource Summary: 4 StarsI bought this version of the Bible over a year ago for personal use in Bible Study courses and recently bought another one to give as a present. The footnotes and commentaries are very good and provide a lot of good background information to help with understanding the text. The translation is a good one in modern English without being too trendy. The only thing to be cautious of is the notes sometimes seem to come from the writer's personal beliefs, so you have to keep that in mind. However, I have found nothing offensive or inaccurate in the notes, just some things where I would have written it differently. I highly recommend this version of the Bible, especially if you already have other translations and versions.
Book Review: GREAT Bible Summary: 5 StarsThe Life Application Study Bible (NLT) has truly sparked my interest in reading and ignited my passion for God. I spend entire days reading the scriptures and footnotes and truly applying the message to my life--I just can't put it down! I highly recommend this bible for anyone who has lost interest in Bible reading or who is brand new to the Bible. It is also great to compare other translations. This Bible will give you a new enthusiasm and understanding for the scriptures. You won't regret it!
Book Review: Good Study bible Summary: 5 StarsI recommend this bible for all who wants deeper understanding into the word. Easy to read, the footnotes are a great help. I recommend the NLT version.
Book Review: One of the Best Study Bibles Available for Understanding and Appreciating God's Word Summary: 5 StarsHaving a deep love and hunger for God's Word must be one of every Christians' greatest pursuit. I've studied numerous Christian resources that have indeed been valuable and of them all, I would definitely give the top honors to the Life Application Study Bible.
Regarding versions, rather KJV, NKJV, NASB, NIV, TNIV, NLT, and CEV, they are all useful and respectable versions. Each offers a unique composition of the English language. I am a pastor whom serves all demographics of the church from children to teens to young adults/adults to seniors and I have noticed that KJV, NKJV, NIV, and NLT have been the most popular and widely used. I do note that the most understandable across the board has been the NIV and NLT. Of these, the NLT (New Living Translation) is a clear, fluent, accurate and very readable version that works well with the English we speak today.
The NLT Life Application Study Bible is very useful, well-composed, full of good, wise and scholarly commentary, and has intriguing book intros and character bios. I recommend this Study Bible for all. Regarding the version to use, I recommend the NLT, however that choice is your personal preference and remember they are uniquely different and have very good qualities.
