Book Review: Superb but too short
Summary: 5 Stars
I enjoyed this book immensely. The quality of the writing is right up there with Barker's previous books such as Regeneration, and with Life Class also set around the first World War, she clearly knows this territory well.
The character development is strong although a number of characters appear and then disappear for no apparent reason. I felt that the book was just getting going when abruptly it ended. I don't know if this implies another trilogy is on its way, but it left me somewhat dissatisfied. However, this is not enough to stop me giving it 5 stars by any means. Highly recommended.
