Book Reviews of Life Is Just What You Make It : My Life So FarBook Review: A KEEPER!! DIDN"T WANT IT TO END!! WONDERFUL!! Summary: 5 StarsDonny Osmond was my first teen idol, when I was a mere 13 year old over 23 years ago. I stayed in touched with his career off and on since then. This book really opened my eyes to the real Donny. I laughed and cried reading this book. I couldn't put it down. It took me 2 days to read it. Sadly, I somewhat neglected my poor husband and children. They knew I was so engrossed in the book. But they understood.. ;-) I'm planning to read it again. IT"S SO GREAT!! I LOVED IT!!! If you are a fan of his or any of the Osmonds, this is a MUST READ. Even if you aren't a fan, I'm sure you will enjoy this revelating and touching autobiography. THANK YOU DONNY!!!
Book Review: I couldn't put it down Summary: 5 StarsI have been a fan for over 30 years and this book was just breathtaking...I cannot believe how much this young man went thru and I was always trying to see him.. I did get to meet him and he was just a super guy..me not knowing what he was going thru at the time I now feel bad...but thank you for the memories..and reading this just brought them all back..you are the best..and I recommend this book to anyone..it is great reading...
Book Review: A book full of surprises. Summary: 5 StarsI live in Sweden and I've been a fan for 26 years and thought I knew quite a bit about this guy! Well, I was in for a big surprise! The book is so sincere and I must say that I admire him for being so personal. The book made me cry many times but also made me smile. I admire this man even more after reading the book. Even though he speaks about hard times, he never blames anyone or tries to make us pity him. It's an uplifting book, it teaches you to believe in yourself. I warmly recommend this book to everyone, not only to Donny-fans.
Book Review: COURAGEOUS, PROUD AND A LITTLE BIT SAD IN TODAYS WORLD Summary: 4 StarsTHIS BOOK WAS VERY ENLIGHTENING AND TRUTHFUL. LIFE AS WE SEE IT IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT IT IS. HOW MANY OF US WANTED TO BE DONNY OR DATE DONNY. WHEN IN REALITY THE "AVERAGE" CHILD HAD THE BETTER LIFE. NO CHILD SHOULD NOT HAVE A CHANCE OF BEING JUST THAT, A CHILD. THE OSMOND CHILDREN NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE KIDS AND HAVE FUN. DONNY HAS OVERCOME SO MUCH JUST BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS AND WHAT HIS NAME IS. IF ONLY TALENT SPOKE LOUDER THAN CONFLICT. WHY IS IT BAD TO BE A GOOD GUY? DONNY'S PRIORITY'S ARE RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE AND LEARNING FROM ONE'S LIFE MISTAKES IS THE BEST THING ONE CAN DO. HIS CHILDREN WILL NOT LIVE THE SAME LIFE TRAUMAS. I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE DAY AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO CAN APPRECIATE TALENT, HARDWORK AND GREAT LIFE ETHICS.
Book Review: Donny is like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Summary: 5 StarsI read this book in one afternoon. So much I didn't know about Donny and I have been a fan of the Osmonds for a long time. No matter who you are life throws a few challenges to overcome and it is wonderful that Donny kept true to his values, love for his wife and family and faith in Heavenly Father to become a much stronger man.
