Book Reviews of Life on the Other Side:: A Psychic's Tour of the Afterlife

Book Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was a fascinating read, rang very true and was interspersed with interesting anecdotes about Sylvia's life. Highly reccomended.

Book Review: Attention grabber--you won't put it down
Summary: 4 Stars

Sylvia Browne paints a very vivid picture of how everything looks on the other side, buildings, statues, hobbies and more. She also tells how things work when you cross over. What processes you go through before and after coming to this world. I guess we won't know for sure if she's right until we all cross over. But it is a very good book that I couldn't put down. It made me want to get hypnotized to see what my subconscious knows.

Book Review: Hog Wash
Summary: 1 Stars

This woman is so full of herself. This is not even put together well. Boring.
And how does she know it is so. I wish I'd never spent my hard earned cash on it.

Book Review: If Life is good on the Other Side, why do we keep coming back?
Summary: 3 Stars

First of all, I truly believe in reincarnation but I don't always agree with Sylvia Browne, the psychic and author. I did read this book and came away with mixed feelings about Sylvia's own belief system. WHile I believe there is a heaven, I know that the only hell we create is our own and we agree on that level. I do believe in the afterlife whether I believe in Sylvia's version is another story but she allowed me understand enough about my own abilities and her own experiences. No we're not crazy, I keep looking but I don't see what Sylvia sees but I have strong hearing maybe that's why I can't seem them around me. I know God exists. I know angels exist and we exist. It's how we exist. Sylvia Browne's teachings is there to help improve our lives. No, she's not perfect and neither am I. She is flawed and terrible at making judgments in her personal life but that's what makes her human. Anyway, Sylvia makes a point that heaven is going home again. My father had a near death experience before he died and went through the tunnel and came back and went home when he did. One of Sylvia's teachings is that when it's our time, it's our time. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I think we try so hard with our lives here on earth because we crave the luxury of paradise where so many things there are not an issue. I always believed that we have been male/female, gay/straight/bisexual, different ethnicities, different religions, in our past lives because GOd wants us to learn from those experiences. She is right about it being our end times because I feel that my spirit/soul is exhausted from being among the living. In heaven, it doesn't matter what you weigh, who or what you date, what you believe, or what culture you prefer. She does state that we are male/female but I believe we are always both in some ways. You may not agree with Sylvia Browne. SHe's not asking you too. She is trying to convey the message that there is nothing to fear about death because you are going home. SHe writes about the losses of her beloved psychic grandmother Ada Coil and father William L. Shoemaker. Her writings can be a comfort to those seeking answers including myself but you don't always have to agree with her.
