Book Review: Easy to read with useful clear info but some gaps
Summary: 3 Stars
A good summary guide for the lay person into Shingles. Written in an easily understandable manner, it explains medical terms well. Easily read in 2-3 hours. It could be improved for me by incorporating a UK glossary, in particular many of the references to drugs are US specific. For example, there is no reference to Paracetemol - what name is this referenced by ? Are all the treatments mentioned , (eg the topical ointments) available in the UK (my GP indicates not)?
I would also have liked some information on what lifestyle changes, if any, are appropriate, eg any suitable dietary considerations and most importantly, when to return to work (in a stressful environment), and whether/when/how to rest or take physical exercise.
