The book Locked in time by Lois Duncan is probably one of the best once I ever read. How Lois Duncan organized all the information to lead to the unexpected ending made the story even more fascinating and worth reading. But it wasn't only the skillful writing of Lois Duncan, but also the subject itself, how a young wife's obsession with been beautiful forever made her and her children miserable by doing horrible things to innocent people for decades for money to keep living.
This book really showed be the reason why we live a short period of time, and made me understand that I will never want to live forever in this world. There is the fact that this world is getting worse and worse every day that passes, but it is also the fact that if you are the only one who will never get old, then everybody you love is going to die and you will be alone again and again. And how the government needs birth certificates for almost anything, well you can't show people a birth certificate that says you are 100 yrs old and you are looking like 14 yr old.
So that's really what this book its all about and in my opinion this book is one of the best out of all the books Lois Duncan have made. Not only it has the suspense she always puts in her novels, but the subject and the ending makes this a memorable novel for everyone to read
