Book Reviews of Lose Your Mummy TummyBook Review: Physical Therapist Uses Mummy Tummy in the Clinic Summary: 5 Stars
The information in Tupler's Mummy Tummy book is the missing link in postpartum care. I applaud Tupler's attempt to spread the word to women that they need to take care of their abdominals during the child bearing years. As a women's health physical therapist, I treat many women who have separated their abdominal muscles during pregnancy. I use Tupler's exercises with my patients and have had dramatic results. Patients who were told that they needed surgery were able to get their abdominals back in shape through exercise. Her emphasis on training the core and modifying abdominal exercises during pregnancy and postpartum is not only biomechanically sound advice but also whips women back into shape quickly and safely! I recommend this book to every Mom out there.
Book Review: julie tupler saved my midsection Summary: 5 Stars
I still looked 5 months pregnant months after giving birth to my 2nd child even though I had lost all the weight. My doctor told me that I had a severe diastisis(5 fingers wide!) and that surgery was the way to fix it. As a last resort, I bought this book, ordered a splint from the Maternal fitness website and began doing the excercises. After 3 months, my waistline has returned - people are constantly amazed that I have a 7 month old baby and look so fit. This is especially satisfying to hear considering that my adbdomenal muscles seemed beyond repair. I can't recommend these excercise highly enough to any woman who's given birth. I am thrilled with the results and, as skeptical as I was, I have to admit that these excercises are kind of revolutionary. I'll never do a crunch again.
