Book Reviews of Loser

Book Review: Appropriately named.
Summary: 1 Stars

This book was painfully dull. It could have been a 2 chapter book. I got the message right away. Zinkoff is a "special" boy who is very happy although he finds little sucess in school and with his peers. Had it not been a required book for a class I am taking, I would have put it down after chapter 2.

Book Review: Awesome Book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this book! We are reading it in my fourth grade class. It is funny and sad and a real page-turner! I would recommend this amazingly amazing book to all readers.

Book Review: Awful, Just Awful
Summary: 1 Stars

This has got to be the worst book I have ever read. I say this because throughout the entire depressing book, you are waiting for it to turn around and for this kid to become a non loser, to make a friend, to have something good happen and it just DOESN'T happen! It has an unsatisfying ending without any resolution to his sad sap life. Makes you wonder how come his family never got him any special help because he so needed it. It is such an awful book with such an unpleasant abrupt ending that I will never take the chance on reading another Spinelli book ever. I want my money back and if I could recapture the hours of my life that I wasted on reading it, I would want that back too!!

Book Review: BOOK REVIEW BY STAR GIRL
Summary: 4 Stars

This book was gr8. We are reading it in my 4 grade class. It is a book about a kid who has special needs. He laughs at words that are made up. I would recommend this book to everyone; young or old, girl or boy. I hope you read it! It tells you how it feels to be different than everyone else. This book is specially made for ages 9-12.

Book Review: Be Who You Want To Be
Summary: 3 Stars

I just finished the book Loser, and it gave me some ideas, like be who you want to be. In the book it is about a kid named Donald Zinkoff. He never got picked on `til [...], because he lost a race for field day. Ever since, he has been called a "loser".
I feel sad for him, because he won a trophy for soccer and somebody stole it. In my head, I thought Zinkoff was going to die, because he was out in the cold looking for a little girl, and Zinkoff had a flashback. The main idea I got from this book is "be who you want to be". If people call you a loser, so what? I thought Loser was a good book.
