Book Reviews of Loser

Book Review: I love Zinkoff
Summary: 5 Stars

Zindoff is a very special boy. His nickname is "Loser". Everybody teases him but I am very interested in his character. I couldn't wait to finish this book. Sometimes the story was boring but I wanted to know more about who he was. When I was reading the book, I was sad, because I forgot about my childhood. I couldn't remember. I never thought about my childhood. Even though I am a mother, I don't try to understand my children's minds. But, I have thought a lot about my attitude toward children. This book helped me to understand about children's minds. Young people and parents have to read this book. There may be many helpful ideas about who chidren are. You can find your childhood again!!!

Book Review: I'm Not A Loser Either
Summary: 4 Stars

Loser, is a very interesting and wonderful story for someone to read, especially if someone (including themself) considers them a loser. No one is a loser, and in this book it will show how a boy shows himself that he isn't a loser. I really think this is a great book for anyone to read, even if you know your not a loser.

Book Review: Is loser really a loser
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a FANTASTIC book. It is about a boy that everybody thinks is a loser he gets made fun of a whole lot. He can't run as fast as the others so the people say that he can't be on there team so on the day of the race he just doesn't show up.At the end he is outside an he finds out one of his friends has gone missing so he is goes looking for her. He thinks she has already been found but then he still sees the police cars so he keeps looking. He is finally found and told the little girl had been found like an hour after there started searching for her. Then he goes home. So it turns out he is a hero even though he did not find her.

Book Review: KCS- class loser.
Summary: 4 Stars

Have you ever felt as if you were the loser of your class? Everyone in his class thinks of Donald Zinkoff is the loser of there class, but Donald is oblivious to the names he is called. Donald Zinkoff is clumsy, awkward, asks too many questions, laughs too much, and not quite the same as the others in his class. The story takes place in a town from when Donald is in first grade until he is in fifth grade

Its the first day of first grade and Donald loves it. He loves school in general. Everyday is an adventure and he hates being bored. In fourth grade Donald is in the same team as the most athletic kid in class for field day. Their team is in first until Donald messes up and there team loses. By then, everyone seems to notice that he is not like others in the class. People begin to whisper about him and call him names behind his back, but Zinkoff doesn't seem to notice. Donald has never had a best friend, but he is content with himself.

I think that the theme of the book is that everyone deserves a second chance and that you should accept everyone even if they are a little different. Jerry Spinelli writes in a way that really describes how the main characters are feeling. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5. The book was good, but there was no climax in the book, and some might find it a little boring. The pacing is slow to medium throughout the book. I would recommend this book to middle school students and those who like realistic fiction and don't mind slow paced books.

Book Review: LK-MS. RANIERE-PERIOD 1
Summary: 4 Stars

The novel Loser is written by Jerry Spinelli. Donald Zinkoff is a misfit who is just in search of a friend. As the years go by, kids keep getting meaner and meaner to Zinkoff. This book is a little bit unique because it has 2 main conflicts. One of them is that Zinkoff has no friends. The other one is that there is a girl missing in Zinkoff's neighborhood and he tries to find her. As the hours go on he ends up farther and farther away from home. After a while the police aren't searching for the girl anymore, they're searching for someone else...

I chose to read this book for 2 reasons, because I have read other books by Jerry Spinnelli and they were very good. Another reason is because my friends told me this book was good-they didn't lie! The only thing that was bad about the book was the end, and although I am not going to tell you about it, it wasn't a very good ending. There aren't many twists and turns and although it is boring at times, it is still a very good book.
