Book Reviews of LotteryBook Review: Do you really want to win the lottery? Summary: 4 Stars
This is an interesting book about a slow and steady man who wins the state lottery and unleashes a storm of greedy relatives and strangers.
The characters are well-drawn and the ending is satisfying if a bit too convenient. The main flaw is a somewhat fuzzy sense of real time.
But there is humor and love and heartbreak. And when it is over, you may be thankful you have not won the lottery!
Book Review: Excellent, very well written. Summary: 5 Stars
Patricia, it was wonderful! You did an awesome job. The story was beautiful. The characters were extremely well developed. The story flowed flawlessly. I picked it up around noon one day I think and didn't put it down until I had finished it. It left me "satisfied" and with a "good feeling". lol, I can't say it enough, it was just really, really well written. Congratulations on the success of your first published book. And I wish you continued success on the publication of your second !! Thank you.
Book Review: Fantastic, Simply Fantastic!!!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is sooo cool! Humor, heartfelt emotion, and even a bit of irritation (I wanted to jump in the CD slap two of the characters) YOU WILL LOVE IT, I PROMISE! It is my commuter book. I pop in the Audio CD, and listen on the way to work. When Its finished, I listen to it again. I know how it ends and still, I want to hear it again and again! A must read/listen!!!!!
Book Review: Forest Gump 2 Summary: 1 Stars
I have to think Forest Gump is Ms. Wood's favorite movie. Shall we compare her book to that movie?
1. Slightly above retarted hero.
2. Vietnam plays a large role.
3. Family member sacrifices everything to keep them mainstream.
4. Comes into a lot of money.
5. Unaware sex scene
6. Ends up with his love (even if that love isn't recipricated)
I hope for her next book she watches a better movie first! I was not impressed.
Book Review: Great story Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this book and actually loaned it to my mother to read. I don't think she wanted to read it but it's just a great story, so I loaned it to her anyway. The story gives an insight to how people can act when money is involved. It also made me see how family members can turn on a dime in certain situations.
