Book Reviews of Love, Lucy

Book Review: I loved "Love, Lucy"
Summary: 5 Stars

Brilliant! (thats about the best word to describe this book)I absolutely loved it! The way she recounted her childhood so clearly is fabulous and extremely interesting! She really points out all the hard work it took to get to the top. I especially liked how it, with such detail, describes how she felt about Desi Arnaz. Her love for him shines through in her words. Also, how she spoke about her wish for children made me cry with happiness when she became pregnant with little Lucie, and then Desi Jr.! The divorce with Desi was hard for me to read and grasp. It seemed she really wanted to work things out, but it's disheartening when she tells about her hatred toward him in the end. I think deep down she would have dedicated a lot of time to reconciliation, because love obviously still settled in the bottom of her heart, and his. Buy and read this truly magnificent work of Lucille Ball, America's Favorite Comedienne!

Book Review: It couldn't be told by anyone other than Lucy!
Summary: 5 Stars

I remember the moment I opened this book. I was awed at the thought that I was about to enter into a whole new world--Lucy's world! I have read other books on Lucy but not one of them captured my heart the way 'Love, Lucy' did. It opened my eyes to her heart, her mind, her life. When reading it, I felt like she was talking to me, telling me about her deepest thoughts. Yup, just Lucy and me! No one else could have told her story...no one else could have captured her true feelings and thoughts...no one other than Lucy.

It was a great read if you Love Lucille Ball. Very interesting especially because it was in her own words. All I can say is what a career and what a lady.

Book Review: Love, Lucy by Your Favorite... Lucille Ball
Summary: 5 Stars

There are so many books out there that try to tell the story of Lucille Ball's life. But what book could better tell the story of Lucy's life better than Lucy herself?! This bbok is absolutely fabulous! Lucy not only gives you a journal of her life - when she made movies and shows and what they were about - but, because she is looking back on her life, she tells you what she thought of her life and how she thought it would be handled better. Kind of like her "secrets to life". Though the book goes only from her birth in 1911to around 1970, Lucy really details her life to what the public would like to know including her marriages to Desi Arnez and Gary Morton, her childhood and her life away from making the people of America (and all over the world) laugh, at her homes in Beverly Hills, Palm Springs and a ranch in Chatsworth. She also tells about her relationships to other stars and how they used to hang around each other and have fun together.

This book is truely a great book that any person remotely interested in Lucille's life will enjoy. You can believe every word of it as you can her Lucy's voice through it all! I read the book three times straight through and sometimes, when I'm board, I pick up in the middle and enjoy it for hours. You will love this book!
