Book Review: A Delightful Reminder that Love is Precious
Summary: 4 Stars

Cornelia manages a coffee shop in Philadelphia. She is happy with her life, but when a handsome stranger named Martin walks in one day she thinks it's fate and desperately hopes to fall in love with him.

Clare is an eleven year old girl being raised by her mother. Her mother has been acting strange lately and leaves Clare by the side of the road one day. Desperate, Clare seeks out her mostly absentee father, Martin.

Not knowing what else to do, Martin brings Clare into the coffee shop that Cornelia manages, for breakfast. Clare is so upset, she begins to cry and Cornelia comforts her without thinking. At about the same time, Cornelia's brother-in-law, Teo, walks in and Cornelia, Clare and Teo form an unlikely bond.

Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos is a wonderful story of love. Chapters alternate between Cornelia's point of view and Clare's point of view. Cornelia's chapters are told from the first person and Clare's are told from the third person, which I found a little confusing at first, but quickly adjusted to. It didn't take me long to become attached to Cornelia and Clare since the character development in this book is top notch. The story line is fantastic too. I found Love Walked In to be a delightful reminder that love is precious and comes in many different forms.

Book Review: A Gift of a Novel
Summary: 5 Stars

Not a romance novel, but a love letter to humanity, Marisa de los Santos' "Love Walked In" far surpasses it's title. I fully admit to judging books by their covers all the time. I never would have looked twice at this one, as I usually like very cerebral or 'out there' books, but it was reccomended, so I did look. I'm so glad. I can not rememember the last time I vocally cheered while reading a novel. Maybe many years ago when I read "She's Come Undone." But I cheered for Cornelia. I don't know that I've ever read more real, alive characters than in this little book. I would say that if you like good character studies or if you enjoyed books such as "The Giant's House" or "The Time Traveler's Wife" then you would like this. I adored the old movie references as well as the literary. This is a book that I will be giving to all my friends for thier birthdays this year in the hopes that they will get the joy out of it that I did.

Book Review: A Great Book Walked In
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book because the cover reminded me of another book I loved. I'm so gald I did.
I enjoyed this book immensely. It has a story line that kept me intrigued, characters that I liked a lot and a romance that was not overly done.

Book Review: A Perfectly Packaged Tale
Summary: 5 Stars

Marisa de los Santos is a brilliant writer and this books perfection is based in her talent.

You are drawn into the book from the first page and a sweet and endearing love story unfolds from there. It's very sweet but not sappy and falls away from the typical love story shining brightly in it's wit and charm.

If your looking for a light but unique book that leaves you feeling good about people and life read Love Walked In. It will stay with you for years to come as an every day fairy tale- all lose ends tied up and warmth within your heart.

Book Review: A Unique and Well Written Book
Summary: 5 Stars

I wasn't prepared for this book when I bought it. I really thought it was a typical, but hopefully good romance novel. It was that and more. I liked the characters. Quirky, clever, and oddly funny, the writing made these people real and interesting. I can't wait to read more from this author.
