Book Review: Not bad, but not great either
Summary: 3 Stars

I'm normally a big fan of Emily Giffin's works but this book just kind of left me wanting more. It wasn't bad and it had an interesting premise but I felt like there wasn't really a lot of action and the story moved along at a slow pace. I was a bit disappointed because I really liked her other three books and couldn't read them fast enough. I just didn't find this book as engrossing as her other works and it took me a while to get through it.

Book Review: Very life-like
Summary: 4 Stars

I can see why some people didn't like Ellen in this book. She acts selfishly and impulsively at times, and spends a lot of energy justifying her unjustifiable actions. But you know what? I thought that made her human and a real character. As much as I didn't like what she was doing at times, I felt like I could understand and relate to her actions. She was confused and trying to follow her feelings the best that she could which, really, is what love FEELS like sometimes. Whether it's real or not.

In that sense, I thought this was a smartly written book, though I didn't like it quite as much as the author's previous three. But still a good read and well worth the time.

Book Review: Story was all over the place.
Summary: 1 Stars

I love the last three books Emily Giffin wrote, but felt this one was running all over the place before we got the story line. Too much info not related to actual plot.

Book Review: great story!
Summary: 5 Stars

great story and very romantic, despite its decidedly untraditional storyline. you don't normally say a story about a woman thinking about straying from her husband as romantic, but this book does a really good job at showing how love isn't a done deal just because you say "i do." smartly written and featuring a woman who is very real (frustratingly so at times), this is a great story about trying to love the one you're with! easy to say, hard to do (sometimes).

Book Review: Not worth the wait
Summary: 1 Stars

I waited a few months for this one to become available at my local library, and boy, am I glad I did not pay money for this. I could not even get through the first few chapters and returned it a few days later. What a disappointing bore....
