A well written introduction that would be useful to beginning (and perhaps intermediate) students of Macro. It helps to develop "intuitive grasp" rather than detailed technical knowledge (for most people that will prove more important in life). It is unfortunate the author decided not to use diagrams; many of the standard diagrams are easy to read and useful. If this book is used as a supplement to a standard text or lecture notes (with diagrams), as intended, that might not be a problem. Pity the author did not incorporate the diagrams; the book would have been an excellent stand alone introduction for a wide range of students. As it is it is very good .
